This privacy policy explains how The Vintage Aviation Echo (the “Echo”, and collects, uses and stores your personal data when you view the Echo, including subscriptions. 

Your data is provided to the Echo when: 

· you subscribe to the Echo’s mailing list; and/or 

· you view the website via your browser’s cookies. 

Mailing list subscription:

When you subscribe to the Echo, you only need to provide an e-mail address. Providing your name is not mandatory.  We will not collect any other data from you.  Your personal data will not be shared with any other party.  We will use your specified e-mail address to provide you e-mail updates on the Echo’s new magazine in our newsletter.  Your e-mail address will be held electronically and securely by the Echo via MailChimp, our third-party subscription provider.  You can unsubscribe at any time by e-mailing the Echo at, or via the automated unsubscribe link contained within each newsletter.  Upon unsubscribing, the Echo will remove your e-mail address and any personal information provided from its mailing list. 


By accessing the Echo, your web browser will automatically create “cookies” for each web page visited.  These small text files are used to enhance your experience of viewing the Echo, allowing previously visited web pages to load faster.  Data stored in cookies is generated by the server when you connect to the website and is allocated an ID by the server. When you next visit the website, the server will send the text file to your browser to streamline your browsing experience.

The VAE is a commercial hybrid publication intended solely for your personal use. The VAE reserves the right to modify, suspend or discontinue the VAE website(s) without notice as we see fit.

The VAE owns the copyright on all articles, photographs and other works included on &, unless otherwise stipulated. This includes articles, images, photographs, videos, information, text, logos, designs, software, materials and any other content (collectively referred to as "Content") published on the VAE, as well as Content provided for publication by third parties.

Unless explicit and express permission is granted by the VAE, you are strictly prohibited from developing, creating or publishing works or materials (including, but not limited to, articles, written works, photographs, images, logos, icons, link buttons, desktop themes, website themes, videos, montages, wallpaper and unlicensed merchandise) that dervie from, or are based upon, the VAE's Content.

You are forbidden from removing, interfering with, altering, bypassing or circumventing any copyright, trademark, logo or other proprietary notice on the VAE's Content using any means, direct or otherwise, including the use of any device, website, software or other service.

Unless express permission is granted directly by the VAE, you may not reproduce, copy, download, duplicate, modity, sell, amend, translate, publish, screen capture or mirror on another website or publication either in full or in part, any Content published by the VAE.

Should you wish to do so, you must seek written authorisation from the VAE's Editor. Until such time as the Editor's express authority and consent is given, no VAE Content is to be reproduced in any form as described above. The reprint, reproduction or distribution of most third party images or photographs that appear on the VAE cannot be authorised by the VAE, as typically the copyright belongs to a third party. Any requests to reproduce images or photographs must be addressed directly to the owners of the copyright in those images.
